BETHPAGE TURNS GREEN
Third Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade A Huge Success
Green was the color of the day as Bethpage hosted the Third Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade
On March 13 Bethpage rolled
out the "GREEN" carpet as we
hosted the Third Annual St
Patrick's Day Parade. This year
the parade and events were
even more spectacular than last
year. The day began with a
sumptuous breakfast at the Bethpage
Fire House with a mass
at St. Martin of Tours Church at
12:30. After the mass Bethpage
proudly held a four star parade
complete with mounted police,
antique cars, the Longford Pipe
Band and representatives from
almost all of our local organizations.
This year we were proud In
selecting Jack McCaffery as our
Grand Marshal, a man who truly
deserves admiration and praise for
his 35 plus years of service to our
community. The ceremonies
which followed included many
dignitaries and needless to say
there was a packed house celebrating
at the Central Park Inn.
Congratulations to all involved in
this wonderful event. Can't wait till
next year. See Page 10 for more.
