Gregory Carbo and Family
On Sunday October 2, Phil
Lembo led the Boy Scouts Court
of Honor honoring Joseph Strazzeri
and Gregory Carbo. Both Joe
and Greg achieved the Boy Scouts
Eagle Scout. During the moving
ceremony Joe and Greg received
accolades from Boy Scout Troop
604, the community, friends and
family. Joe and Greg received
letters from President Clinton, V.P.
Gore, Senators D'Amato & Moyn-ihan,
Congressman King and
Senator Ralph Marino. County
Executive Thomas Gulotta and
County Comptroller Fred Parola
presented a county citation and
Councilman Len Kunzig and
Supervisor Lew Yevoli presented
a Town Citation. In addition the
Eagle Scouts were honored with
Plaques from the Bethpage
Chamber of Commerce, American
Legion, American Legion Ladies
Aux., The VFW, Lilco, The Bethpage
Rotary Club, People, Bethpage
Womens Club, Mercy Hospital.
Mr. & Mrs. Mario Bianco
presented a bond and Troop 604
presented the Eagle Scout desk
set.

AT MEETING
A public meeting will be held to
present the Proposed Remedial
Action Plan (PRAP) regarding the
on-site source areas of contamination
at the Grumman Aerospace
inactive hazardous waste site (#1-
30-003A) located in Bethpage, the
Town of Oyster Bay.
MEETING DATE: OCTOBER
'26, 1994. TIME: 7:30 p.m. LOCATION:
BETHPAGE HIGH
SCHOOL (Cafeteria B), Stewart
Avenue and Cherry Street,
Bethpage.
Representatives of the New York
State Department of Environment
Conservation (NYSDEC) and
Department of Health (NYSDOH)
will be on hand to present information,
receive comment, and
answer questions. Written comments
can also be made during the
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD,
which is from October 11 to
November 26, 1994, to NYSDEC
Project Manager John D. Barnes,
P.E. (see below).
The public is encouraged to
read the PRAP and the other
relevant documents which have
been placed in the following PUBLIC
