JOE MARGIOTTA - THE VINCE LOMBARDI
OF THE G.O.P. WINS SUPERBOWL AGAIN
Although the above picture was taken early in the campaign,
smiles of victory were reflected in the faces of the winning team -L-R-
Frank Purcell, TOH Presiding Supervisor, Alphonse D'Amato,
Supervisor, the "old pro" himself, GOP County Chairman Joseph M.

The opposition may dislike Joe but after their part in
Tuesday's performance at the polls they have to and do
know who fielded the better team. There's no sense in
citing actual statistics. Simply said - it was a complete
rout. It's like comparing Coach Lombardi's Green Bay
Packers of old playing against a high school team. It
was just pure devestation.
Having been a long time political observer who has
travelled our U. S. extensively, I must come to the
conclusion that Joe Margiotta, without doubt, as was
Vince Lombardi the best in the business. If they
haven't already, all political leaders throughout the
country should take lessons from this most astute of
politicians.
Whereas the Democrats have been making gains
throughout the nation, Joe's phenomenal victory
stands out like a bright flame. I think President Ford
should personally plaudit Chairman Margiotta. As a
matter of fact, I offer some "home-spun" advice - he
ought to send some of his sage White House political
advisors to New York and see how our boys from the
Empire State, the real professionals, know how to win.
Again, congratulations to "Coach Joe" - you did a
hell of a job. by Stan Kristian
